Portretten
Op deze pagina treft u verscheidene portretten aan die ik door de jaren heen geschilderd heb. Vele mensen die ik heb geschilderd daar voel ik een verbondenheid mee of een herkenning.
Andere zijn in opdracht geschilderd, en schilder ik op een dergelijke manier dat het een geheel eigen Yby werk wordt.
Zoals Beatrix bijvoorbeeld heb ik veranderd in iemand zoals ik haar veel liever zou willen zien. Ik heb haar veranderd in een indiaan (een krijger).

Sinéad zo noemde mijn buddy’s mij toen ik in het leger zat, een jong meisje die haar haar eraf liet scheren door haar maten. Al gauw merkten mensen om mij heen dat ik ook nog eens kon zingen en zij vroegen mij de zangeres te worden van de legerband. Vele herinneringen heb ik aan deze Ierse zangeres Sinéad O'Connor. Mijn erge jeugd flits voorbij, mijn punk/wave tijd en de dood van een aantal dierbaren om mij heen. Nothing Compares 2 U!
